As a wedding venue in Derbyshire, you will be hard pressed to find a more ideal location. The hotel is located close to major road links (A52, A50, A515, M1 & M6) and is just 1 hour from Manchester, Birmingham and Nottingham and only 3.5 hours from London.
The Izaak Walton Hotel is well equipped for any size and design of wedding you require. The hotel has a selection of licensed rooms for Civil Ceremonies overlooking the spectacular Dovedale Valley and rooms for your Reception which can hold up to 120 people.

We can comfortably cater for up to 80 to 120 persons for a civil ceremony and/or wedding breakfast. For larger numbers (for wedding breakfasts), we offer the option of a wedding marque on the front lawn.
Local Registrar & 6 Suggested Steps for planning a Civil Ceremony
We are fully licenced with Staffordshire County Council to hold Civil Ceremonies. Our local Registrar office is at Leek – they are very friendly and helpful and if you ask for the registrar, she will answer all of your questions.
Your 6 Steps for planning a Civil Ceremony at the Izaak Walton Hotel:
1) Call the Izaak Walton Hotel on 01335 350981 for provisional dates and the quote (we will hold a provisional reservation for you for 4 weeks
2) Call the Leek registrar office (Telephone: 0300 111 8000) to check if the registrar can make this date you have in mind
3) Decide whether to book the Izaak Walton Hotel for your Wedding Venue (£800 deposit payable on confirmation)
4) Confirm the registrar and pay their fee.
5) Give notice of intention to marry and wait at least 17 days until your Big Day
6) Your Big Day – Congratulations!!!
Children are very welcome at the Izaak Walton Hotel. For young children from babies up to 8 years, we can offer a children´s menu and charges are minimal. Children from the age of 8 to 12 can have half portions of main meals if required.
High chairs and booster seats are available.
We would recommend you offer each guest one drink during the drinks reception (you should also consider guests who would prefer a non-alcoholic drink and children). It is also considered standard to offer your guests two glasses of wine during the wedding breakfast and a glass of champagne for the toast drink.
We have devised a menu selector to help you choose your menu. This selector is a guide and our chefs are very happy to cater for any suggestions or additional requests. Vegetarians and special diets can be catered for individually.

The Hotel offers 38 well-appointed bedrooms all with en-suite facilities (sleeping up to 80 guests in total).
We are delighted to offer a complimentary executive bedroom to the Bride and Groom, when holding a wedding breakfast of a minimum of 60 guests.
Accommodation is available from 3.00pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 11.00am on the day of departure.
Your guests can book accommodation directly with the hotel and Bed & Breakfast rates per room, per night, start from £105 for a Classic Double/Twin room.
To confirm the wedding date, a deposit of £800 of the initial quotation will be required. A final invoice based on final numbers will be sent 4 weeks prior to the wedding date and is payable 7 weeks prior to the wedding date
Our Wedding Co-ordinator will be happy to recommend services such as photographers, florists, confectioners and toastmasters to you. If you prefer, the Wedding Coordinator will make all of these bookings for you and take some of the hassle out of the planning.
A cake stand and cake knife will be available for use.
The Hotel can provide place cards, menus and a table plan should you require them in a choice of two colour schemes (white & silver or cream & gold). A small supplement charge will apply.
The Wedding Co-ordinator will be present to assist you on your Wedding Day and will help you co-ordinate your entire day.
The Hotel is delighted to offer the possibility of a marquee facility on the front lawn of the Izaak Walton Hotel (please see pictures at the top of the page). Marquee hire starts at £3500 for the day – this is a wonderful option for those of you inviting over 120 guests.
